This beer is available on tap at 58 Degrees and Holding, a newer restaurant and liquor store in Tucson specializing in wine and higher end beers. The bartender informed me that this is made specially for them by Thunder Canyon Brewery located in the northwest part of the city.
This Oatmeal Stout pours black, with a great caramel colored foam head and decent carbonation. The smell is toasty and chocolatey, a very warming sensation. It tastes malty and dry, with hints of coffee and chocolate, and finishes with a decent amount of bitterness. It was not as chewy as some Oatmeal Stouts I've experienced. Plenty of carbonation in this one also. A very classic American example of an Oatmeal Stout.
