Had this on cask, which I had never had a cask beer before. Was expecting the carbonation which wasn't there so my taste buds were just there to experience the wonderful flavor. Glad I had this one. An ipa that is not on cask may never be the same....

Enjoyed in a shaker pint at OHSO.

Very murky burnt orange. A one-inch cap of snowy white froth sticks to the sides in thick walls.

In the nose: burnt sugar, grapefruit, a little dankness. Perhaps some sweet apricot and mango as well.

The flavor is similarly packed with grapefruit, grass, burnt sugar and booze. There are also touches of mango, caramel and biscuits.

Soft body is medium-light, with pretty high, pinching carbonation and a bit of fizz. Alcohol flashes in the throat and through the nostrils.

A decent IPA. Good balance, enticing fruitiness.
