Enjoyed at the brewpub. This beer had a slightly hazed, yellow gold colour with a fine white head and decent retention. The aroma was of biscuity malt and spicy/floral hops. Mild bitterness, a little on the sweet side, with a floral, spicy hop finish. A little fruit appeared as it warmed. Slight dryness, light bodied, moderate carbonation. Overall, the flavours were decent, but it didn't seem to be attenuated quite enough.

at the brewry from the tap. poured a golden color with a small white head that left some lacing. aroma hops, citrus, yeast, some malts. flavor malt, hops, grassy, slight lemon. this is a good beer to drink on a hot summer day while cooking on the grill.

This one from Dragonmead didn't exactly get me exicted. Poured out to a clear yellow / gold color with a decent head of big white bubbles. Aroma of hops and watery malt. Taste was middle of the road; flavors of malt and hops with a touch of grass and spice were well blended, yet something seemed amiss. Medium mouthfeel was more like flavored water than anything else. Decent drinkability, but nothing special here. Worth a try.

I remember this beer from some time ago. Although brewed as an ale, this was Dragonmeade's attempt at a challenging style. I don't think they pulled it off extremely well; their success with the Kolsch was more in line with their skill and range. It was a very drinkable beer, though.
