500 ml bottle, many thanks to Ole_R. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, big and lasting head. Fruity aroma, notes of blackcurrants, some notes of malts and hay too. The flavour is biscuity and fairly dry, with noticeable fruity hops. Nicely balanced, quite enjoyable.

Golden color and clear. Not much of a head; leaves only a smattering of spots.
Sour aroma with pale malt notes. Little to no hop.
More bitter than the smell offers. Average to thin body with a decent level of carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste. Refreshing and flavorful but without a lot of depth.

.5L bottle with a best before date of 01/12/12. That's 1 December 2012. Purchased from the Coop in Madla. This is my first beer from this brewery that has an ABV that allows it to be sold in grocery and convenience stores.
Poured into a wine goblet, it produces about two fingers of white foam on the head. The beer is a pale gold, completely translucent. The lacing on the glass is respectable, about average. There was some yeast at the bottom of the bottle that clouded the final pour.
Not too much detectable on the nose. Maybe a light grassy/hay smell from the hops. Slight hints of summer fruit like peach or nectarine. A little bit of a buttery quality.
A very clean tasting ale. Some bitterness from what is likely noble hops. Bitterness is actually slightly assertive. Touch of fruit in the taste, but not easy to put my finger on what it is exactly. Maybe green apple or a white peach. Some peppery spiciness at the end. Can also taste an underlying malty foundation to the beer.
Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Well carbonated and refreshing. I can imagine this would go well with pizza, seafood, or some chicken or fish tacos. Overall a nice ale. Probably one that shows its qualities better when paired with the right foods as opposed to when consumed alone. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the Bøyla Blonde Ale.

This was a super beer! Had it on draft next door to the brewery in Flam at the Furukroa Tourist Center/Restaurant. Served with a small white head and good lace. Color was a very clear, bright gold. Aroma was full, rich, and fresh with a nice balance of malt and hops, some grain and grass. Flavor was the same, bittersweet, with a lingering, tingling bitterness. Clean and well balanced. Excellent body and carbonation. Absolutely a session beer. Bit far to go to get another, but someday....
