Under license in St Lucia. Perfect.

A: Black w/ massive, creamy, lasting tan head. Lacing galore.

S: Nose is blackened roasted grains, wood char, french roast black coffee and bittersweet chocolate.

T: Flavors follow the nose and are surprisingly sweet, big, bright and roasted, black strong coffee and bitter chocolate, that culminate in hops, espresso, crema, old wood, church interior.

F: Mouthfeel - among its best parts - is creamy, bright and balanced. Finish is bitter espresso and grilled wood.

Great balance and blend of roast, bitter, sweet, malt etc. Extremely drinkable.
Makes a great black and tan with the local Piton lager too.

A bit sweeter (but it's the islands, a former sugar island).

Pours a dark brown, may as well be black to my eyes, with a thick brown head, lots of lacing.

Smells toffee, chocolate, coffee, nothing special.

Tastes of caramel, roasty malts upfront, coffee, chocolate with a nice strong bitterness to finish it off.

Very thick, frothy mouthfeel and very drinkable, especially on a hot day at the beach!
