A stunning amber with decent off-white head, truly beautiful to behold. Aroma is subtle but nicely hop-centric. The flavour is maltier than I'd personally choose, with an emphasis on toffee and caramelized malt sweetness. A pleasantly dry finish, niceley bitter, but without the citrus elements common to an American Pale Ale. Overall an enjoyable pint, but not (yet) the best Michigan has to offer.

served in a pint glass.

a - copper in color with a thin film of head. leaves thick clouds of lacing.

s - light piney hop character and toffee.

t - follows nose with more malt and a one dimensional bitterness that hangs on the tongue longer than it should.

m - on the thicker side with a slight mouth coating action.

o - seems like a run of the mill pale ale. nothing to see here, move along.

I had this on tap at the WAB...The beer pours super dark gold, hint of dark orange. Light white head, good lacing. The aroma is super light can barely get anything at all here. Light orange, sweet...The taste is horrible, its so sweet can't even have it. Its all honey and orange, like they dropped a half pound of honey in my beer. Absolutely no hops at all, very disappointing... The feel is ok,but you can't drink this. Way to sweet and boring.

This is not a pale ale.

Got this one on-tap at the WAB. Pours a solid amber color, with a little bit of head, and no real lacing as the beer pours. Nose is standard for a pale ale, a little fruitiness. Taste is good; a solid amount of hops up front, and then some raspberry flavor, finishing with a little hops as well. Feel is standard, medium body with good carbonation. I ordered a couple of these. It's a solid APA with some interesting fruitiness. Definitely one you could drink a bunch of. One of the best at WAB.
