1 imperial pint can with gold foil top, as Volfas-Engelman Bohemijos Tamsusis, from EkoMarket Bryne. ABV is 4.2%. Clear and beautiful reddish brown colour, large to moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and brown bread. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is slightly sweet, again with notes of malts, caramel and brown bread, very moderate hops, as expected from the style.

Prod: 25/1/19, BB: 20/3/20 IsK 299 (about £2) from the Vinbudin (State liquor store) in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland. 568ml 4.2%.
L- Deep chestnut, clear. think white head.
S- Very mild, just slightly toasty.
T- Adjuncty, over sugary-sweet. With a hint of brown ale to it.
M- Too fake 'rich/sweet' to be refreshing.
O- Adjuncty. Quite unpleasant. Bought by accident anyway.

Sweet, not alcoholic, bread, some honey. Especially for women, especially in nature, on the shores of the Baltic. Very special, very good!

Clear chestnut brown beer with 3-finger beige head, nice retention.
Smell - caramel, sweet.
Taste - caramel, herbal, kvassy tones, nuts.
Medium body and carbonation.
Not very bad czech dark lager.

568ml can - with a fancy-looking gold foil cap. A rough translation leads me to think that they're trying to make a Czech-style tmavy pivo here.
This beer pours a clear, medium bronzed amber colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and mildly bubbly tan head, which leaves some random splattered and sudsy lace around the glass as it lazily subsides.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, a bit of dark orchard fruitiness, subtle ashy notes, and very tame earthy, musty, and floral noble hop bitters. The taste is grainy and bready caramel malt, some earthy nuttiness, plain bruised pome fruity esters, brown sugar syrup, and more well-understated leafy, herbal, and dead floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly benign in its ennui-stricken frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really getting fresh with my various palates at this point in time. It finishes off-dry, the caramelized malt and attendant frooty essences predominating.
Overall - this comes across as a pleasantly rendered (if rather simple) version of the style, with none of the Baltic off-flavours that I've been led to expect from their lagers. At any rate, it isn't U Fleku, but it's all right.
