love the foil that comes on the volfas cans, also appreciate the pint size cans, this beer is ok, kind of drinks like a strong lager, has that sweetness to it, brown bread malt, biscuit, light bitterness, pretty mild, medium bodied, smooth and easy enough drinking, nothing special

My first Lithuanian beer. Somewhat more disappointing than the Estonian beers that were good, mild and clear. This is closer to the East-European beers just like the country itself and a bit more similar to Euro Lagers. More malts, more yeast, more ABV. Funny that the can has a foil covering its top - something to be appreciated not to get rats pissing over the mouthpiece...
The funky yeast gets a bit more annoying with time and warmth and starts feeling wuite like a sweet Euro Lager. This is a little disapointing indeed but you would never get an Euro Lager at 6% ABV. Funny. Would rather try a Baltic Porter next time, if ever again.

568ml, gold foil-topped can - it seems that this one's purported ingredients would adhere to the Reinheitsgebot!
This beer pours a generally clear, pale golden yellow colour, with two fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and sort of fizzy off-white head, which leaves some random coral reef atoll lace around the glass as it evenly dissipates.
It smells of bready and crackery cereal malt, a touch of estery yeastiness, faint apple fruity notes, and some herbal, spicy, and wet hay-like noble hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, a musty pome fruitiness, still extant yeast, a hint of metallic alcohol, and more floral, weedy, and musky green hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its palate-coating frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and more or less smooth, but for a pithy clamminess that evolves as things warm up a tad around here. It finishes off-dry, the malt reasserting its dominance in the lingering arena.
Overall - this comes across as a simple, all-malt lager, with a bit of hop off-set that seems to oscillate during the course of the experience. At any rate, easy enough to drink, with no real flaws, and a mostly well-integrated extra point of the ol' wowee sauce to enjoy. It was worth the few shekels that I shelled out for it.
