Baltic 6% pretty easy and what's expected. It's got this buttery, honey-like mouthfeel, but tastes pretty average/above average if you know your bottom fermented stouts. It lacks som bitter tones, so this could be the choice for the sweet tooths out there. I'd probably buy it again, and I'd gladly use it in the kitchen for stews and other simmer dishes

Solid two-finger off-white head. Slow to recede leaving some ring lace behind as it does. Streaks thereafter. The color of the brew is mahogany brown where bright light can shine through the center of the glass.
Notes of chocolate and raspberries to the nose. Milky indicating some lactose present. Vanilla.
Smooth but not that rich a body. The carbonation is appropriate and fine. The initial taste is closer to a brown ale with bready flavors and a tinge of chocolate. It seems boozy but I don't get any of the warmth I normally expect from this flavor. The swallow features a touch of sour cherry. The aftertaste draws forward some more semisweet chocolate.

Pasaulio Skoniai Baltic Porter is deep, leathery brown bordering on stout-ish in its depth of color. The head is thick, mousse like, cream colored, and lasting.
This Baltic porter smells like a combination of fresh baked rye bread combined with rich milk chocolate. Sweetness carries through to a center where I smell ripe, dark stone fruits. Damp earth helps give the overall aroma a little depth, keeping it from becoming too much like black forest cake.
My first impression of this Baltic Porter's flavor is more like that black forest cake. Flavors start off with milk chocolate and ripe, juicy cherries. The center brings more cake like flavors than bread which combine with hints of leather and damp earth. The finish is dry and slightly coffee-ish with its flavors of roasted grain. The mouthfeel is medium-full in bodied and reasonably lush.
It's smooth, reasonably full bodied and has much of the lushness you'd expect from a good porter of any kind. Maybe not as full bodied and lush as other porters, but at least in the ballpark. The only negative I have is that the flavors are a little more simple and straightforward than other, more robust porters. Not entirely a bad thing, though. Rather, I file this as a very good introduction to the style.
