On-tap at the brewpub: Simple yet inviting straw gold yellow with a active center and a bright white top of starchy foam. Fades to a thin ring and some small patchy dotted lacing sticks.
Aroma is of the Saaz hops, as it should be, grassy and herbal, moderately vibrant and snappy with a crisp intent. Wheat grain and sharp toasty breads back it up.
Taste is the same with a nice crisp edgyness and sharp toned Saaz hop spice. Higher ended grass tones tend to stick as fresh and fairly zippy, lip-smacking wheatish bread keep the drink alive from start to finish. Ends with a quick sweep of herbal dryness backed by a low surge of sweetness.
Feel is crisp and toned with that certain Pils zip, tang, pep, and spice, which is done quite nicely here. Carbonation seemed a bit top heavy at first but leveled off as it warmed and where it became much better in the smoother areas and not so carbonated. Medium/light body and kept its Saaz character.
This was gone is no time. Very drinkable and just as enjoyable.
