Pours a very, hazy mahoganycolor with a thin ring of off-white head that leaves no lace.
Aroma has heavy cider notes that dominate. Poured too cold, let's wait . . .
Malt and caramel undertones emerge from the cidery notes and try to take over but ultimately fail.
Mouthfeel is hyper sweet to start that moves to a mellow citrusy malt falvor that finishes very weakly.
Drinkability is average at best. Just never gets going, not unpleasant just unremarkable. Definitely not a bock or a lager, too cidery and thcikly malted.

Darker than one might expect in a bock. Somewhat murky, though I saw a side-by-side of other people's bocks first, and the pours were completely different. Weird.
Ester overload -- and then some. Equal parts cantaloupe and apple cider. Sweet, straight from the farm fruitiness carries through to the taste where a tart pear finish closes out a sweet, sweet beer. No balance or bitterness to this beer at all, which is fine. But this is not a beer I could have more than one of -- it's a sipper for sure. The sweetness is overwhelming at times with far too much apple, estery flavor for a bock.
Not their best effort -- but at a place like Kuhnhenn's, you take the good with the bad. Every experiment that goes wrong turns out five that go right. And for a drinkable, fruity, interesting -- albeit mediocre -- beer to be their worst effort says a lot about the outstanding quality in general.
