After trying some of the other offerings from Kuhnhenn, I decided I'd give the Crystal Method a try. The beer is a medium amber, with a nice off white head. The aroma is a bit spicy, almost peppery with a hint of caramel. Woody, earthy notes on the flavor. Decent malt backbone. Dry bitter finish with a hint of wet hay. Mouthfeel is OK, as is drinkability. I personally find beers with crystal hops for the flavor additions difficult to pull off, as there have been a few that I really did not care for. Kuhnhenn does a decent job of it. Not great, but definitely worth a taste.

from the tap at my favorite brewery. poured cloudy copper with a light tan head. aroma malts, caramel, hops, yeast, grapes, honey, citrus all on the weak side was hard pressed to get what I got. flavor, weak could get malts and caramel but not much else.
