Served in a pint glass. Color is dark amber with soapy tan head that sticks around for a while. Smell is very Christmas-y: Christmas cookies, cinnamon, and some orange - very interesting. Tastes citrusy up front with a little bit of cranberry and cinnamon. The finish is quite malty and smooth. Mouthfeel is thin - a little more body would help out here. This seems like a novelty beer - OK for the season, but could not see myself drinking it unless I'm feeling really festive. Recommended.

Spruce aroma. It's cloudy dark brown fruity with very white head and lots of lace. Acidic apricot taste prominent. The fresh ground ginger, dried orange peels, cinnamon and cardamon seeds.
I think this would be too much spices for a cask as it has been served.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Hazed, almost cloudy, toffee colour with a yellowish ring of bubbles and little lacing. Malty and spicy aroma, with notes of cinnamon and orange peel. Fairly low hop bitterness with some toffee and cakey malts. Quite balanced. Lots of spices are present, including ginger, cinnamon, cardamon, plus orange and acidic citrus. Medium bodied, lowish carbonation, with a creamy body and a bit of dryness. It's a decent Xmas beer, but the spices get to be a little much over the course of a pint.
