12oz bottle as part of the Kuhnhenn Belgian style series. Limited edition as part of a variety pack 6er picked up at the brewery. Thanks Frozensoul 327!
Pours a muddied, unappealing brown colour. No head minus the thin line outlining the glass. No transparency. Distasteful aroma - the same sour yeast in the backdrop, but with a rotten chocolate coating. Actually rather unpleasant. I tried to search for some complexity or depth, but I think it's fair to say this is just unpleasant. Not much flavour is pronouced, again I get chocolate notes with a string of lightly roasted malt. The yeast imparts a degree of sourness. Some more vineous notes but comes across resembling vinegar, not well received.
There should be notes of over-ripened dark fruit, or complex malts, even some alcohol notes for punch - but there is not. It's actually fairly void of any flavour actually. Hard to say what they were going for here. Whatever it was, it didn't quite work out...

A: Murky brown color into a tulip glass, with no head and no lacing. Low level of carbonation.
S: Aromas of grapes and dark red wine mixed with wood overtones and some grains. Not bad.
T: Flat and uneventful flavors of sour dark fruits and dry malt. Some cloying sweetness in the background.
M: Flat. Very slick, almost wine like.
D: Not for me. One and done. Next, please...
