Grub sent this via BC2. Thanks Russ!
Slightly hazy, light reddish amber with a solid beige cap. Good head retention, chunky lacing. Mild aroma, some malt and bread, a bit of fruit and some diacetyl in the background. Vary light tartness with a fruit/malt combination - quite mild though. Medium/light bodied with plenty of carbonation, a bit on the dry side. It had some nice character, but just didn't deliver.

12oz bottle, part of the Belgian limited release variety pack. Thanks Frozensoul 327!
Pours quite a bit darker than their blonde, a copper amber colour with fairly hazy appearance. Clear orange to the light. A good level of white head. Another case of wild yeast, sour and tart. Actually quite reminiscent of a Unibroue strain. Quite appealing. High carbonation but light bodied. Lots of yeast, a light whiskey character with some crystal malts. A real citruis tang, notes of tangerine mostly. Little cider complex in the sense of rotting fruit. All the tang makes this a nice one for the spring. Very yeasty, very citruisy, and on the whole, pretty good too.

A: Deep cloudy bronze color with golden hues. Huge head of angry foam. Wads and chunks of sediment.

S: Wonderfully complex aroma of malts, grains, sweet belgian yeast, with farmhouse like aromas mingled in with everything. Heavenly.

T: Very Saison-like; sour and malty, with fermented and rotting grain flavors, with minimal sweetness and hop bitterness. Some earthy notes. Nowhere near as complex as the aroma lead on.

M: Again, slightly off from what was anticipated; slight flat, with noted sediment feeling on the palate. Very dull.

D: More and more, this one reminds me of a cider gone bad. Not a bad beer, but perhaps a little overboard for the intended style. Still, i'm glad I had the opportunity to try it.
