Lingonberry juice is infused into this intense lager beer. A delicate chocolate-like aroma gives way to a wonderful balance of sweet malt and tart fruit. Aged for drinkability.

375 mL bottle. Clear deep amber. Smells of deep caramel, dark fruit, and alcohol. Tastes of something fruity up front and then an intense alcohol flavor. Caramel and some cardboard. Strong alcohol burn. Tiny sips are interesting, but it's way too strong.

Pours a dark, ruddy brown — clearer than expected— with a fat finger of tan head. Very impressive retention.

Nice tart berry juice in the aroma, behind some shoe leather, bread and light, stale cocoa.

The berry juice continues up front in the taste, joined by some treacle, custard, leather, cocoa, dark bread, earthy bitterness and alcohol. Lovely and complex mix of flavors that could be confounding to some, but are very tasty and nice to ponder over while sipping.

Relatively slick feeling with some fairly sharp carbonation.

Much juicier than I expected. It would probably take years longer for the flavors here to meld into perfect harmony, but they’re still really excellent at this age (2019 bottling). An absolute treat. I’m glad I popped it while it’s still fairly chilly as it is quite boozy.

This one pours a slightly murky golden red color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like tart cranberries, lemon, vague dark berry fruitness, molasses, caramel, chocolate, and booze.

I think this might be the least of all the Kuhnhenn eisbock variants I've had, but it's still good. I think lingonberries are just too tart for this - it somewhat blocks out that wonderful chocolatey and caramelly base beer. I think this will age tremendously, though. It's also still one of the most unique beers you'll ever try, and one of the closest beers you'll get to mead.

This is medium bodied, with a lower level of carbonation. It's fairly boozy, so it's definitely gonna be a slow sipper.

I want to try this one again in like 3-4 years. As of now, it's pretty good, but not the amazing that most of their eisbocks tend to be.
