As a sour ale, green apples describes it best, this one was very decent. Pale colour, minimal head. A little funk aroma. A bit less than average mouthfeel. Decent drinkability for a somewhat sour summery beer with appropriate understated carbonation. Thanks again, Steven for hooking me up.

Thought this was an unlabeled bottle that I though was a BA Barleywine, but it ended up being Snrub...

Pours a rich, woody brown with shades of mahogany. Silky tan head.

Nose has sour cherries, plums and soem candy malts.

Tart pitted fruits dominate the flavor profile

Medium body drinks well.

Big thanks to Scott for busting this oddity out - bottled '07/08!? Served in a taster after a bit of spillage drama.

A - Hazed golden orange color with minimal white foam that dissipates pretty quickly. Nothing super interesting.

S - Belgian yeast, spice, some caramel maltiness, bubblegum, floral notes. Nice, but nothing unusual for a Belgian pale. Smell is pretty intense and leaps out of the glass.

T - Lots of spice and yeast up-front. Definitely not as sweet as the smell, and the finish has a touch of sourness to it (not sure if this is intended or from Kuhnhenn's dubious bottling quality).

M - Lighter side of medium-bodied, very soft, mild carbonation. I expected a tiny bit more tingle from a Belgian Pale, but otherwise it's pretty good.

D - The sourness gets a little off-putting because it raises questions about the bottling quality versus brewer's intention, but otherwise it's eminently drinkable with the lower carbonation and ABV.

Not my favorite Kuhnhenn brew - I really liked "The Duvel in Mrs. Jones" and think it's a superior Belgian-style brew.
