On tap at the brewers guild fest, summer 2010.
An ale spiked with 6 different spicy peppers. I wasnt able to find out what these 6 peppers were, but this beer is loaded with them. This is one of the better, and certainly the most peppery, chile beers that Ive had.
The smell is almost exactly like salsa. Spicy pepper heat, bell pepper aromas and some how some tomato. The taste isnt spectacular but it is very interesting and loaded with peppers. Its mostly very much like salsa, bell peppers and jalapenos.
This beer is by far and away the most hot (in terms of spice) that Ive ever come across. The capsasin heat builds with each sip. It never gets unbearable, but I do enjoy spicy foods. It leaves a nice tingly heat that builds and lingers all the way down the throat.
This would be interesting with Mexican or South Western foods. If it were paired with some really spicy dishes it could be a challenge for some of the biggest pepper heads.
