Generally a very weird drink. I have one left that I’ll let sit for a few years to see if the chocolate and caramel blend better. On paper, it sounds like a winner, but in the mouth it has a funk. I’m starting to think it might be their yeast strain(s) used, because it carries over in a few of the drinks I’ve had by them.
Like Eminem sang: I am whatever you say I am. If I wasn’t then why would I say I am.
Yeah, IDK WTF this is, but it’s chocolate and it’s caramel. It’s like a chocolate covered caramel candy with a splash of prune at the end. It’s fucking weird. Has some floaties. I liked their BA 4D and Ba Cake 4D. This is almost a drain pour.

It’s been a spell since I’ve had this brewery with any regularity; the lack of consistency eventually drove me away, but the peaks suck me back in. 12 oz. 2022 bottling with green foil atop.
The pour is dark red leaning into middling black, with more head than you normal Kuhnhenn beer, but it’s Gone in 60 Seconds. Nose brings raisins, caramel, booze.
BIG Bertha’s Chocolate Caramel Love – Barrel Aged is quintessentially Kuhnhenn. Booze & caramel lead with big, helmeted heads, leaving their imprints all over my chest & palate. Mid-palate brings a sharpness & chocolate – not sure if the cocoa or caramel is cutting up my tongue. Sweet. Drying warehouse tobacco. Oak on the finish, lending a serious dryness. This is wearing out my palate; one & done.
Interesting beer, as most K-beers are. Very good - & any bourbon would have pushed it over the border to excellent.
