A strong, smooth, malty Northern English Brown Ale. This beer has a sugges-tion of dark fruits and hops. Rich dark ruby red in color with a hint of warm copper, this easy drinking brown is de-lightful.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. A lacey fresh brown. Good chocolate malt, good for its basic style and worth a try. Above average mouthfeel, some roast, well malted, yet "pales" among so many great styles here because its sweetness against hops.

On-tap at the pub, drank from a pint glass...Looks like a watered down coca-cola, semi clear, lots of amber on the fringe. The head is a bright off white that doesn't really rise, but leaves a thin cap that says forever. Poor lacing...The aroma is a bit malty, but mostly dead and boring. The menu says to let this warm up a bit to open the nose, all it does is waste a bit of my time...The taste is just malty, some toffee. Missing nut and roast; boring, pedestrian brown ale
