Advertised as a sort of IPA/Amber Ale hybrid. 4oz taster glass as part of a paddle.

A - A finger of lightly tanned foam settles to a thick collar and some wisps of haze, leaving behind splotchy lace. Hazy dark red-brown body.

S - Orange citrus hops, some ripe grapefruit, and a slightly out-of-place herbal note. Malt character is heavy with caramel and treacle, and perhaps a touch of rye?

T - Toasted bread and toffee malt dominate, with notes of grapefruit zest in the periphery. Mild bitterness in the finish. To be fair, they say it's very malty for the style in the description.

M - Medium grainy body, moderate carbonation, and a super-dry finish. Light residual reins and oil character.

D - The taster was pretty easy to drink, but I'd rather have their regular IPA. I'm curious if this was intentional, or an accident beer (wrong grain bill). I'd have it again, but it'd be fairly low priority for me.
