Apparently I was one day late to add this to the BA database... I had this on tap at the brewpub. The beer is a light copper color with a touch of haze, poofy white foam. The aroma is really good, it turns out Kuhnhenns can make lighter ABV beers very well! Citrusy and bright, lemon and grapefruit characteristics which transfer appropriately to the flavor as well.
Slightly bitter, this beer is more about the flavor than the scathing nature of hops. Well balanced, this has some malty sweetness counter-acting the hops to give a very nicely integrated after-taste. Very good!
This might well be my favorite every-day style from Kuhnhenns, they really nailed it. Highly recommended.

Poured into a pint glass. On tap at the brewery.
A - Pours burnt orange with golden edges. Thin lacing of pale white head.
S - Smells of grapefruit, with a nice blend of piney hops. Smell is very balanced for the most part, with a slight favor to the hop profile over the citrus fruit.
T - Follows nicely from the nose. Excellent hop profile at the outset, with the grapefruit/citrus as more of a supporting flavor. Well balanced with a bitter hoppy end but not so much as to leave a dry mouth feeling. Really an excellent IPA!
M - Mentioned the hop bitterness in the taste, but is nicely balanced and crisp on the tongue. The ever so slight jelly like feel us a bit odd, but it works.
O - Overall very impressive. Would love to see them bottle this on a regular basis as this is a great representation of what an IPA should be.
