On-tap at Kuhnhenn for Winter Solstice. 5oz taster glass.
A - A half-finger of white foam settles to a thin collar, some wispy patches, and minimal lace. Hazy peach body.
S - Somewhat bland, with a hint of lemon and grassy hops and bready neutral malts. Underwhelming, but not offensive I suppose.
T - Again, a pretty boring collection of earthy and floral hops and neutral malts. Surprisingly little flavor for a 7.2% beer.
M - Pleasant moderate carbonation, smooth medium body, slightly chewy texture, but thankfully not too sticky. No problems here I suppose.
D - A real head-scratcher. Compared to the other beers in my taster flight this had next to no flavor. Either it's faded horribly since it was released or those Michigan ingredients aren't particularly laden with flavor. Definitely not Kuhnhenn's finest here, although I suppose it might appeal to those just looking to get drunk (and buy local).

a collaborative IPA made my Kuhnhenn and three other breweries in the the area as the flagship for detroit beer week. hops used: chinook with some cascade.
pour is golden clear with a smaller head that had a health retention. a lean drink in feel that would be back in a perfect smooth dry finish. perfume in a very unique way. floral and effervescent. nose is mild hop floral notes. not bombastic. palate is not bitter but crisp. great feel.
