On tap at the brewery.
A: Pours a dark brown with some ruby highlights around the edges. A two finger beige head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Toasted malts, baked bread, grains and crackers. Light lager yeast in the mix as well. Simple, but really well done.
T: Like the nose, this is simple but really enjoyable. The malt character is very much on point. Toasted malts, baked bread and a little more doughy than the nose. Grains and crackers as well.
M/O: A light body, as one would expect. Good carbonation, that is smooth at the same time. This is incredibly easy to drink, and something I could come back to again and again. A true session beer, which is almost impossible to find in the States.
A great example of the style. Really there are not very many quality examples of a Munich Dunkel lager in the States. This was lagered for 10 months, and is spot on. Another well made offering from Blind Pig, that is not of a super hyped style. Though is all the more interesting because it is as good as any I have had.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
