A: Pours and almost brick red color. A two finger white head forms but recedes fast, and leaves some lace behind.
S: Malty up front, but really not a lot of depth. Just kind of biscuit like with some honey.
T: Again, this is certainly malt forward but just doesn't have the complexity of some of the better examples. Biscuit and honey like sweetness, along with a woody/earthy hop character in the background.
M/O: A light to medium body. Good carbonation and clean. Not hard to drink at all, and well made. It just doesn't have the depth of malt character I want for the style.
Not bad at all, and certainly something worth trying. Though Riggs killed it with their O'fest, and I personally think Blind Pig does much better lagers. Still, very worthy and enjoyable just not my favorite.
