Holy moly! It’s Buddy Christmas beer time!
Buddy Christmas porter didn’t come to Earth to give us the willies…. He came to drink beer with us! And he blessed us with an imperial porter with vanilla & “peppermint mocha coffee” that is a miracle to behold.
The body of Buddy Christmas is heavenly. The aroma of vanilla, chocolate, and peppermint is divine. The coffee is enlightening. I mean just look at it…doesn’t it…pop?!

This was a fun one, and it always feels good to support local breweries (this one comes from central Illinois). It was an attractive dark brown with a nice pillowy foamy head when I poured it out, and I could sense the minty and coffee-ish aroma right away. There was a little bit of underlying chocolate and vanilla, but the roasty coffee taste predominated. I’m glad it wasn’t too sweet as that would have been a distraction. Finally, I can’t help but note that for a 10.2 ABV beer, this did not feel boozy at all. Would drink one again and indeed, I will, because I bought an entire 4-pack.
