Formerly known as “Scary Cherry Milk Stout” nothing about the beer itself was scary (other than how good it is).

Dripping with subtly tart Oregon pie cherry flavor and aromas! *chef’s kiss*

Touch of milk sugar fluffs up the body and makes it all silky smooooov for ya baybeeee!! Roasted barley brings about a bouquet of hefty dark coffee swimming in luscious cherry notes.

Dark brown with a creamy finger width tan head. Smell is coffee grounds and a slight after smell of cherry. Taste is coffee bean centric can’t really get much of dairy or cherry. Mouthfeel is light for a stout. It is easy to drink. Overall, it’s a lighter coffee taste heavy beer. Neither good or bad.

Huge disappointment. Not sure what previous reviewers saw in this. No Cherry notes at all. The best thing about this beer was its appearance, it dropped quickly from there. It was thin, very little to n lactose and again no smell or taste of cherry. This was served on tap at Blind Pig in Champagne.

Good stout with just a hint of cherry at the finish. I thought that was good. I don't like the fruit being the dominate flavor.

Enjoyed on tap at the splendid Blind Pig Brewery in downtown Champaign, Illinois.

Two full fingers of somewhat tan froth top a nearly black body; loads of lacing and good head duration make this a really excellent looking beer. Big, luxurious aromas with dark chocolate, cherry, roasted coffee, and caramel malt. a really fantastic nose.

That the taste does such justice to Cherry Milk Stout is saying a lot, given how enticing the smell is. Chocolate is rife in CMS, and the sweet and tart cherry is most delicious. The malt is rich and ties CMS together well, but is not overbearing, while the cherry flavor takes on a chocolate-covered cherry taste the more I drink this. A bit of coffee and vanilla bean in the finish; fabulous.

The texture is nearly ideal: smooth and creamy, with solid, persistent effervescence that lends a light, airy quality to such a rich, lush stout.

Cherry Milk Stout is almost addicting in its deliciousness. I immediately ordered a couple more of these in quick succession, all the more readily since I did not have to drive home afterward. It just might be the best beer BPB has brewed yet. At the very least, it is in the top three beers this excellent local brewery has made. Truly superb and distinct stout, Cherry Milk Stout is a fantastic beer to enjoy this Holiday season at a great local bar. A genuine find.

A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black color. A large tan head forms with good retention. The foam fades, but a thin ring sticks throughout. Light lace is left behind.
S: Just an awesome aroma. Roasted and toasted malts. Bready and roasted coffee. Some sweetness and slight lactic milk. Chocolate covered cherries. Everything is balanced perfectly.
T: Again, this is great. Lightly roasted malt, but never acrid. Milk chocolate with a great sweet cherry compliment. Real fruit and not over done at all.
M/D: A full body that is slightly sticky. Good carbonation that is crisp. Though smooth and creamy which rounds everything out nicely. Very nice to drink. I had several, and could of enjoyed without a thought.

The is very nice. Real cherries are used and it is not overly sweet. It is nice to see this done right without the over barring sweetness and artificial flavors. Another excellent beer from Blind Pig.
