Bürgerbräu Bad Reichenhall "Unser Bürgerbräu Hefe-Weißen"
3,30€ for ,3l vom fass @ Gasthaus Zollhäusl, Freilassing, DE on 25/09/17
Notes: Typical hefeweizen appearance with a very hazy golden body beneath a three-finger thick head of fluffy white foam that's climbing out of the glass but then slowly settles. Very nice lacing. Aroma of banana, apple, clove, and wheat. The flavor follows with a hint of lemon, a touch of acidity, and some spicy hops. It's sweetish with a low bitterness level but still balanced. Light-medium in body and gently crisp. Overall it's a light and refreshing example of the style while still retaining all of the flavor. Massively drinkable!

It had a cloudy hay gold appearance with thick off whit dome of a head. The lacing was everything you would expect from a Bavarian Hefe. It had aroma that was present but not over powering. Definite yeast tones of bread and spice. It had the appearance of a hefe but the taste was just a little bit lighter but not as weak as Kristal. Doughy and clove like with a slight bit of banana. The mouthfeel was full and carbonated. It was a good anytime type of hefe.

appearance; nice cloudy yellow, with a thick white head that leaves good lacing and has great retention. Lots of yeast floating around and brown yeasts stains are noticed on top of the foam.
smell; bready and yeasty with strong hints of banana skins and a tinge of blunt spicy, stale cloves.
taste; really everything one expects in a beer of this style but of greater quality than some of the big boy's versions in München. Aftertaste of nice spicy bread yeast and wheat.
mouthfeel; thick with an almost creamy feel and a loose refreshing finish.
overall; a great session beer with a more cared for and less rushed taste than many Wieβbier, not the best but a good competitor and honorable mention.
