Presentation: It was poured from tap into a small tasting glass at the Becker Brewing Co. tasting room.
Appearance: The body has a pale golden color with good clarity and some visible carbonation. Its head is thick, foamy, bright white in color and leaves some spotty lace on the glass.
Smell: The aroma has pumpkin pie spices with light grain and very mild hops.
Taste/Mouth: The flavor has pie spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice with light squash notes and mild leafy hops. Underneath is a base of pale grain. The finish has the mild bitterness of the pie spice and some from the hops. On the plate it had a light to medium body with average carbonation and a light somewhat thin texture.
Notes: Overall it had good balance of spice and bitterness but the base of the beer was sort of plain. Still it was better and more drinkable than most of the other over spiced pumpkin beers with no pumpkin flavor that I have tried.
