The beer pours a dark brown/black color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a dry, earthy black malt scent that carries a mild bitterness. It's light and creamy with a relatively simple malt bill. The taste is decent as well. It has a smooth patent malt flavor; earthy with a light coffee like character. It goes down easy with a dry, roasted finish. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium/full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a good drinking stout. It's easy drinking with a simple yet authentic flavor.
