600 ml bottle from Grão Fino in Rio de Janeiro, on to the beer:
One of the darkest red colored beers I´ve seen. It almost looks black! Good head and retention forms and stay on top. The aroma is pleasant as it is. There is a little touch of butterscotch, and a good portion of toffee. To taste, it brings about light fruity ester flavors to mind. Somewhat toasty too. There is a medium hoppiness present in this beer...`cone-like´ hoppiness. The aftertaste end with little bits of toasted malt and estes.
It may be listed as an amber ale, but it seems a little more ESB to me. Regardless, MC Amber is a respectable beer.
