Golden color with a two finger head with low retention.
Aroma of biscuit malt and floral hops.
Good flavor for a Pilsner with a relatively low to medium bitterness. Notes of biscuit, sweet pale malt and floral and herbal hops.
Light body with medium carbonation.
Decent pilsner, more malty than bitter but still flavorful. A bit more hops wouldn’t harm.

Rasen Bier is from the touristy alpine town of Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul state. It´s a great town to visit by the way. 350 ml bottle from Costi Bebidas, on to the beer:
There´s some display of carbonation bubbles running through the body of the straw yellow colored beer. The head looks good too. Sweet in the nose. It almost smells like there´s too much sweet malt packed in the beer. A touch grainy too.
Sweet again as I taste it. It tastes like a lot of honey was dumped in to make it taste the way it is. An echo of canteloupe as well. The light, easy going body is on the mark for the style.
It seems more pale-lagerish than pilseresque. A decent beer if you can handle the sweetness, and better than the Brazilian macros in its market. I´m sure to visit Gramado again, but this won´t be the reason why.
