L: The head is enormous. I don't even know what to do, I've never seen uncontrolled head like this. I panicked a little, had to recompose myself. The head looks great though, thick and foamy. Highly carbonated beer, tons of bubbles. A nice clear gold that I come to expect from this style of ales.
S: Very faint smell of light hops and malt. Nothing that distinguishes it from the pack.
T: Dry hops on the front end with a malty finish. A spicy beer in the best way possible, staying true to the farmhouse/saison. A lot of floral flavors come through as well. The malty in the end is really great though, splendid finish to a drink full of flavor. Sort of grounds down the spice and gets you ready for the next sip.
F: Very light bodied beer, a summer beer for sure. The spices give it more force than a lot of other beers in may compete with however.
O: Pretty good beer. Not my first choice of saison/farmhouse, but a great local choice.

Probably battered boar's best, but La Padite was pretty fantastic so it's a tough call. Definitely should try this though, picked it up for only 5.25.

According to the brewery this is a saison dry-hopped with Thai basil and Szechuan peppercorns.
Pours to a huge foamy white head (strongly carbonated) that laces profusely and and hazy gold-yellow color. Aroma is floral, spicy with the basil and peppercorns front and center along with the typical phenolics (bubblegum and clove) that you get from the saison yeast. Nice malt backdrop. Flavor is absolutely incredible. Nothing weird, off or amateurish here. Starts with a crisp biscuity malt then it gives way to the spices and hops and finishes long with the hop bitterness and spices lingering. It tastes sort of salty which i attribute to the Thai basil. Mouthfeel is easy and light with slight warmth from pepper. Overall a beer I would put on my short list for sipping and sharing. Damn good.
