German-style refillable growler filled at Maplewood on 6/6/04, enjoyed on 6/8/04. Once again, growler was filled to the tippy top, all the better for preventing CO2 loss and oxidation. Nice job by a new (to me) bartender.
First imperial pint glass pours with an airy 1" off-white head, which lasted for quite some time, and laced superbly. Amber shade to the brew, with a slight aroma of sweet malts and hops. Taste is sweetly of pale to medium malts, with a slight hops presence at the swallow. Mouthfeel good, and drinkability as well. Nice representative of the style.
