Rubjerg Lighthouse is 83 meters high and is located on Rubjerg Knude near Lønstrup (North Denmark). The lighthouse was built in 1899 and inaugurated in 1900. The wild nature around Rubjerg Lighthouse is the reason why in October 2019 the lighthouse had to be moved about 60 meters further inland. The sea had gradually eaten away a dangerously large part of the cliff.

Hirtshals 13/10 2020. 33 cl small chubby bottle from Spar, Magrethevej, Hirtshals. Watercolor painting of the Rubjerg Lighthouse on the label.
Pours unclear dark brown with a big yellow-ish head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick frothy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a rather strong sweet odor of roasted - almost burnt - malts. Caramel and toffee. Cardboard. Brown sugar and bonfire.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste Is sweetish and burnt. Lingers for a bit. Sweetish finish.
Not a very steamy Steam beer. Quite on the sweet and dark side and with a weird tang of bile.
