On the beach at Løkken, the white bathhouses stand in straight rows like pearls on a string. Originally, the bathhouses were small houses on wheels that were pulled down to the beach so that guests of the beach hotel could change.

July 2010: 500 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.5%. Cloudy golden colour, big to moderate white head. Moderate wheaty aroma, hints of citrus. The flavour is fairly malty for a wit, with very moderate hops and a hint of citrus, but I don’t think any coriander has been used here. There’s a hint of "traditional homebrew" (maybe a slight infection?) in the finish. Drinkable, but certainly not the best witbier around.

Copenhagen 18/5 2020. 33 cl small chubby bottle from Supervin.dk web-shop. Drawing of these small houses on the beach where you can change into your trunks on the label.
Pours hazy, murky golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick, consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a quite strong sweet, lemonade-ish odor with light sour notes. Sweet tangerine, white sugar, orange. Light citrus and lemon peeking in.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, a bit sticky and lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a lighter sourness. Aftertaste is sweet-ish with a light bitter undercurrent. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent take on a Witbier. A bit on the sweet side for my taste buds giving it a predictable and generic touch.
