With this beautiful IPA we wanted to make an easy-drinking IPA. With its golden color and mild flavor, it is definitely a good choice for a good Danish lunch table, for enjoyment on the terrace or simply as an end to a good long day.

Copenhagen 20/5 2020. 33 cl bottle from Supervin.dk. The label looks pretty self made with a photo of a bunker supplemented by graphic design from clip art.
Pours murky amber with a medium-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a strong malty sweetness and moderately strong citric notes. Sweet pale malts, cardboard, straws and hay. Light odor of citrus concentrate and lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with notable sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a bit. Semi-dry finish.
Quite much on the malty side for a IPA - but it succeeds in a modest bitter bite in the finish. Thank God for small favors.
