Big thanks to hoppypocket for including this in a trade in '13 - have had this beer in my cellar for just over 1 year.
A: Cola brown with a bone white microfilm head with just a light ring around the glass.
S: Dried dark fruit, prune, plums, with notes of rum malts and milkiness. Slight note of chemicals, maybe paint thinner.
T: Follows the smell, with dark rich fruit and woodiness of rum. Noticeable alcohol burn on the finish.
M: Lighter bodied than what I was expecting with low carbonation.
O: An interesting beer that probably benefited from sitting for a year to mellow out and probably would have benefitted from a bit more time.

Got this at Peluso in Montreal a while back. From weak notes.
A - Black pour with one finger of beige head. Good spotty lace and a half finger of retention.
S - Coffee, dark fruit. Pleasant but lacking.
T - Some booze, dark malt, some chocolate, sweet malt. Nice.
M - Fairly strong carbonation, smooth, bit of dryness in the finish, full body.
O/D - A pretty decent beer. Not sure if it was worth the price tag, but it wasn't boozy and the flavour was good. Enjoyed my half of the bottle.

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with a rather large dark brown foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of warming alcohol notes with weird unrefined grainy notes with some fruity ester is quite unique and not necessarily something I would be seeking on a regular basis. Taste is los quite harsh with quite a bit of warming alcohol coming through with some unrefined grain, light spicy notes and some fruity ester. Body is somewhat lighter then I was expecting with some great carbonation. Quite a weird experience and probably something that should be left as a one-off.
