Pours a light yellow with a nice thick foam collar which dissipates rather quickly leaving no trace.
A malty/hoppy scent with a very forward presence of liquid smoke.
Smoke is also heavily present in the taste. There is a hint of sweet malt in the after taste.
The body is very light, slightly watery with medium carbonation. Quite a lively beer with a dry finish.
Much too smoke forward. I would pass this up in the future.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark golden color ale with a nice white foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of smoked malt is quite intense and really doesn’t allow any other characteristics to shine which is not necessarily a bad thing. Taste is also dominated by smoked malt which are quite intense though not at the Schlenkerla level. Light malt presence can also be detected. Body is light with medium carbonation. I quite enjoyed the session style base beer with enough smokiness to make things interesting.
