Bottle: Poured a bright light copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and limited lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with light dry cereal notes. Taste is also a mix of dry caramel malt notes with some dry cereal notes with light warming alcohol notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and warming alcohol notes are also perceptible. English style barleywine but not totally sure I dig the malt used in this beer.

Poured into a teku glass. A hard vigorous pour with a tanned white 3 inch head which dissipated considerably quick leaving behind some great legs and a blanket of head just covering the top of this beast. The color is a dark amber orange hue which is unremarkably very clear. The aroma is showcasing the English side to this style big toffee, burnt sugar, caramel and slight malt. Picking up notes of oak and bourbon. The booze is very well hidden. The taste mimics the nose. Caramel, toffee, getting some burnt sugar very subtle alcohol burn mild oakiness to this with some bourbon / rum notes picking up vanilla once it warms. The mouthfeel is incredible slightly carbed thick and creamy with a great silkyness the sugars just coats your whole palette with a dry finish. Overall very impressed. I would not guess this was 11.9%.Just wishing a little more of that bourbon would shine through. I also enjoy a little alcohol burn but this isn't the freshess bottle. It will do wonders in the cellar Cheers. My second beer review sorry if i butchered it still learning.
