Bottle: Poured a dark blonde color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit notes with light candi sugar notes is quite refreshing. Taste is a nice mix of tropical fruits notes with some floral hoppy notes, some residual candi sugar and light yeasty undertones. Body is full with good carbonation. I think this was a nice marriage between the base beer the tropical hops.

This beer is advertised as a Belgian tripel but tastes nothing like a Tripel. It lacks the spice profile and candi that one expects from a good tripel. What it does have is the quality of a decent Belgian IPA. If it were sold as that I might buy it ... Not as a Tripel.
