Bottle from Rapido in Gatineau. From notes.
A - Dark golden pour with two fingers of creamy beige head. Good carbonation. Bright. Good lace rings and a half finger of retention.
S - Bready malt, grapefruit, pineapple.
T - Nice balance. Strong malt character and a huge hop profile with tons of pineapple core but not much depth beyond that.
M - Strong bitterness that seemed a bit rough in the finish. Good carbonation, medium body.
O/D - This started off OK but got tiresome after a while. Also came off a bit rough. Tasty, but not complex enough for the style. Decent enough all things considered.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy beige color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium citrus notes with some dry malt notes. Taste is also dominated by medium citrus notes originating from the Cascade hops with a solid malt backbone with a medium sweet finish. Body is full with great carbonation with alcohol not that apparent. Not bad overall but I was expecting a bit more of a hops punch form that one.

Appearance: It has a nice hazy deep golden/orange color to it. It has a nice thick light beige head that dies down moderately slow and leaves great lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of sweet caramelly malts, followed by piney resins, grassy hops and maybe some faint grapefruit.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some sweet caramelly malts, a grassy bitterness, some piney resins and faint citrus.
Mouthfeel: It has a med/high carbonation with a somewhat disappointing overall balance and feel considering it's a DIPA.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with decent flavors and aromas. Not worth the 8.99$.

1000 ml bottle. Label says 8% and 111 BU.
A golden brown colour with half inch of greenish/yellowish head and very little lacing.
A hops and prune aroma that disappears quickly.
A flash of and odd, steely funkiness from the alcohol. Lots of hops but it is just plain bitterness with no complexity. Taste of burnt molasses.
The is no carbonation. Some smoothness in the feel.
The hops are too one dimensional. I will not be buying this one again.

Nice ruby red colour with a solid cream coloured head. Good hop aroma with hints of pine resin. Mouthfeel is a little thin and watery. Some malt to help balance but not nearly enough to make an outstanding DIPA. There is a caramel sweetness but for some reason this doesn't help the body much. Hops are there but don't blow me away. Hard to believe they advertise 111 IBU on the bottle as this goes down very smoothly with hardly any bitterness to slow you down. Okay, but not worth the price.
