Another bottle specially brewed for the SAQ.
The color is dark ruby. The head is pretty timid... bummer.
The aroma is caramel malts with some roasted ones too and some hazelnuts. In the mouth, it is sweet and very light in bitterness. Some hazelnuts in the taste too. Roasted malts again. Good. Pretty light for a scottish ale. Delicious. Refreshing. A good one.

500ml Bottle from the SAQ Gatineau QC for 4.50$
Appearance - Clear copper colour with an average size fizzy beige coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for around 4-5 minutes.
Smell - Malts, caramel/butterscotch, dark fruits
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste caramel/butterscotch and hops. There is also a light smokiness and some dark fruit flavour. It ends with a caramel lightly smoked aftertaste.
Overall – Better than I was expecting based on reviews I had read on another site. It has a nice mix of flavours and although it's a little rough around the edges it's still a beer worth trying. Not something I'd pick up again however.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
