this is super impressive beer, like straight up framboise from someone notable. its wild and funky and blood red in the glass, truly mature, woody, and like lambic all the way, they may even do some sort of spontaneous deal on it, its incredible beer really, and frankly next to most of the others in here and our modest expectations, it blew us away! past pink to rose petal red in the glass, raspberries dripping from it in aroma, the essence of late summer ripeness and some oak as well. flavor is equal mix of fruit sweet and fruity tang up front, but with a neat mixed fermentation sort of complexity and wild character behind that, lactic first, bretty second, woody all the way, vinous and interesting, not at all generic, cheap, or run of the mill, this is the real deal, and frankly we are floored by it! some of the beer in here was great, some of it wasnt, but i definitely wasnt expecting an old world belgian level framboise, but thats what this is. enormously impressive, as good as they come on this side of the pond. wow!

On tap at the brewpub in San Antonio.
Appearance: Pours red-amber with excellent clarity. The very durable head leaves the glass completely coating with lacing even many many minutes past the pour.
Feel: Medium body and medium carbonation.
Flavor: Excellent tart/sweet balance clerly favors the tart side. Plenty of natural raspberry flavor. Superb.
O: excellent and highly recommended. The best of 10 beers I've had from this brewery, and the best raspberry beer I've had save, perhaps, New glarus Serendipity.
