had this on cask when we were in and totally loved it. these guys are making some really cool beers, both trendy and old world, and everything we tried was solid for the most part. this, along with the raspberry wild beer were the best of the lot though, tough to beer a cask english ipa at its peak, and thats what this was when i had it, the right mix of malty, hoppy, and yeasty, like any good english ipa all three elements are in play, almost equal. a light orange hue to this, not quite clear, and lazily heady, white and frothy and lasting though, even if it never rises that high. the malt on this is nice, sweet up front, bready the rest of the way, with the hops kind of new school and aromatic for me, especially for an english style, its like slightly more modern because of that, maybe the varietals, maybe the timings, but its different and distinct and i would argue special because of the way the hops present themselves, herbal and green and ripe and fresh and well proportioned. the yeast is right, thats what i love about it too, and the cask dispense seems ideal for this, not enough of these around anymore. this is what the style should be, almost creamy, drinkable forever, and just one of those beers you want to capture and keep in your breast pocket for anytime you need it. i would need it all the time. this was the highlight of my time here for sure...

4/15/18 - On tap at the brewery in San Antonio. Served in a basic pint glass with quarter inch head. Dark orange/amber clear color. Nice lacing as well. Tasty on a sunny afternoon with huevos rancheros. A great first beer on my second stop to this bicycle friendly location.

Color was a soft Amber and aroma was excellent. Piney, grassy notes typical of an IPA. Taste however, was very bitter. It lingered and did not have the body to sustain the high bitterness. I'm glad I only got a 5oz pour.

Pours a dark gold, smell is distinctly iPAish with nothing really standing out. Taste is decent but it leaves a very heavy bitter after taste without the flavor to make it up. Overall it's drinkable but certainly nothing I would order at a bar with even more mainstream beers available
