I had the sampler at Blue Star and began with this one. The beer pours a fairly golden color with a clear opacity, moderate carbonation, some head, retention, and lacing. The aroma was of bready malts and your typical lagery crispiness. What was most striking about the beer was the hoppy finish, much more pronounced than I imagined. The beer has a slightly lemony character, it imparts dryness throughout, becoming slightly more so towards the finish. The lemony quality is not overly citric, but you will detect the slight lemony grenadine quality lurking in the background. The beer is clearly light bodied and easy to enjoy.

This is the beer that they serve to those that normally order one from the big three. This was actually better than I expected. Pale straw color, brilliantly clear, the hops nicely balanced the malt, and mouthfeel was just short of medium. Good beer to give to someone that hasn't yet figured out what real beer tastes like!
