First off this was my first cask conditioned beer so my review may be skewed a little high.
It has a nice hazy light caramel color with a light airy head. The nose was very pleasing with a little malt and good amount of hops. The taste started subtle with a note from the yeast that is hard to place and ended with a healthy but not over powering bitterness from the hops. This is where my cask virginity comes out. The mouth feel was awesome, very silk and very smooth. A nice change of pace from the bite of carbonation that the usual fare has.
Over all a very drinkable beer, the only thing that limits me when drinking it is my bank account and that pesky blood to alcohol ratio.
I'm sure there are better cask conditioned beers out there and I can't wait to try others, but this was my first and will always have a special place in my heart...er...stomach.

The color is pale amber with a small, nondescript head. Smell is of full, sweet caramel malt and little else. Flavor has a nice rounded malt, very biscuity with an enjoyable element of caramel. Hops only serve as a balance. My overall impression is that this beer definently has more of an American flavor and is a fuller flavored take on the Shiner formula.
