First and foremost: EXPIRED BEERS GALORE.

This is a small BevMo as far as other locations are concerned with the average BevMo atmosphere, service, and selection. Nothing too great but nothing too offensive. However, the real problem at hand is the fact that probably about 75% of the beers I picked up that list "best by" dates were way past what was listed. I saw some best by January 2011 and even before this. I was able to pick up a few good finds but the amount of beers that were like this is somewhat upsetting. They really need to get someone to rotate stock and stop selling expired beer.

Ah, the Simi Valley Bevmo. A bit smaller than most Bevmo's, and not my first choice when looking for beer, but it's close to work, so I can check what's new in stock on my lunch breaks from time to time. They get some seasonal releases, but nothing too rare, though I have scored Firstone 13th in here when it was released, along with Schmaltz 14, and Parabola, so sometimes you can get lucky and get some gems, but those are FEW and far between, since they only got half cases of those, and they didnt last long, so it's partially about being lucky. Not too much beer knowledge in here for the staff, but they are friendly, and semi-attentive. The beer/wine tasting area is really small, and something I've only done once due to that.

Bevmo Simi Valley has a very robust selection of American craft brews and an equally good selection of imports. I have been there on a regular basis for the better part of a year to a year and a half. It has a good variety and the prices are reasonable. The only thing I found not to be completely satisfactory (or better) was the service of the staff. There are a few guys that will be helpful and knowledgeable, but the majority were a bit dismissive and seemed as if they had better things to do than answer a few simple questions.

This is basically a standard issue Bevmo, the selection is maybe slightly better than an average Bevmo. They get some special released beers but not any really rare ones. Service is ok and the people are nice, i have yet to encounter a specialized Beer person however. I frequent this place and it suits most of my beer buying trips just fine and the prices are good. I still need to make an occasional trek (20mi) to my specialized bottle shop for rare release beers, and of course because Bevmo's don't stock Pliney.
