Appearance - Served in a wine glass, very deep amber gold color. Slight amount of head, more like a ring around the rim.

Smell - nice and hoppy with a malty sweet and fruity aroma

Taste - Before I could drink this brew I had to let it warm up. It was served in a wine glass but at a lower temperature than the rest of their beers. Why? I don't know cause once it warmed up it was wonderful. lots of aroma to complement the awesome grain bill. Meny different flavors making each sip a little different from the last. Malty and sweet but yet nice and bitter, not to overpowering on the alcohol taste.

Bottom line - Great! The only downfall was having to wait for the beer to warm up.

Served in a wine glass, and much too cold. Had to hold this in my hands for some time before it warmed enough to release the flavors. (Incidently, it wasn't bad cold either)

The beer was slightly opaque and deep crimson. Absolutely no head besides the slight rim of bubbles around the glass. Candlelight reflected a healthy brown off the surface of the beer. A big fruity and malty aroma attacks the nose with a hint of its alcohol power sneaking in behind the other, more noticable aromas. The ale started out too cold, but as it warmed, its flavors improved. The alcohol sensation was apparent, but nice. The hearty malt flavors, mixing fruity and bready tastes works well. The slightly sweet finish adds to the overall experience. The serving size, roughly 8oz, was perfect.
