This IPA is an extremely crisp and refreshing summertime IPA! The Pale color is the result of using pilsner malt, which is very light in color, while lending a distinctive malt profile. Flaked barely was added for extra body and head retention. Hop flavors and aromas dominate! Citrus and evergreen notes are immediately present, followed by hints of tropical fruit, and finishing with a pleasant lingering bitterness. While not exactly a lawnmower beer, this full-flavored, moderately dry ale should be a staple for any warm summer day! Cheers!

Malts: GW Pilsen, Vienna & Acidulated

Concordia Brewery located at Kennedy School. On-tap, 16oz imperial pint glass.

A: Served a cloudy glowing lemon with a quarter inch of very dense whipped egg-white head that didn't move in the five minutes before I finally decided to take a sip. Impressive. The same quarter inch head actually lasted the whole glass through. Yay for flaked barley. Sheets of lace were left down the glass.
S: Nothing overly complicated. I get scents of citrus juice, bitter pith, and light bready malt.
T: Tons of bitter citrus pith and peel hit first followed by wintergreen and mild citrus juice. The finish has a hint of tropical fruit, but it is quickly overshadowed by more grapefruit, orange, and lemon rind. The finish is has kiss of pale malts, and the aftertaste is minty and citrusy with a lingering bitterness.
M: Very full mouthfeel, chewy and creamy body from the flaked barley, with soft and smooth carbonation.
O: Amazing head, great feel, solid bitterness. Surprisingly good. Looks beautiful.
